God is when you are not. You are anger, you are pain. You are misery. You are desire. You are thinking. When thoughts are allowed to float through you like a train passing a station without stopping, you are there, as a witness. You don’t board any train. Good train, bad train, sad train, happy train, angry train, guilt train. All trains are allowed to just pass through. In fact, they are all just trains. Calling it good, bad, ugly, beautiful means you have already boarded it.
All thoughts randomly pop into your head. Once you engage with a thought i.e. you start thinking, connecting thoughts start popping in. Sometimes contradictory thoughts pop in and like a maniac you start jumping from one thought to another. Anytime you catch yourself talking to yourself, just pause and ask yourself: “Who am I talking to?” If a conversation is happening in your head, it means there is a division within you. There’s a conflict within you. This conflict is the source of misery. Nothing else can cause your misery. If you allow all thinking to settle, all misery dissolves. You are non-dual. This cannot be said as “you are one” because one denotes the presence of another. You are not two.
The presence of one denotes a separation. Only silence can be one. Nothingness or no-thingness is our true reality. A diseased body is proof of a perfectly healthy body. The disease is the presence of something additional over a healthy body. Similarly, a diseased mind, a distressed mind is silence + contamination. We are born with no-mind, a silence. All thinking is contamination which creates the ego.
