We have such immense treasures hid within us. Unimaginable. Infinite. Boundless. Nothingness. Everythingness. The entire universe is within us. It just IS. It cannot be explained in words. It cannot be understood by the mind. It is beyond it. It can only be experienced. Just like a moth being attracted to a flame. It gets warmer and warmer as you go closer and closer to it. The lighter you feel. If you are away from it, it gets colder. You become tight and stressed. You are not relaxed. You keep oscillating between moving towards and away from it.

Your feelings in the moment is the best gauge of how far you are from it. The worse you feel, the further away you are from It. That space is taken up by your ego. Your sense of separation from It. If the ego vanishes, you become one with It. The moth is consumed by the flame. It is the end of ‘I’. You realise that there is nothing within. Its just space. Infinite potentials within that space.

These words are currently flowing for me from that space within me. I have no thinking involved. It is like I am a radio receiving a transmission. My mind is being used by me to convert the transmission for me to understand it and write it down here. I have no clue what the next word is going to be.

Honestly, I myself get surprised by what I write. It feels so good to read it as it is coming out through the pen. I know this because I suddenly catch myself day dreaming. This is when my mind has taken over me. It has started thinking. The awareness is lost. The moment I become aware of the lost awareness, I am aware again. The day dream doesn’t stop abruptly. It keeps playing but now there’s the difference — a space between the dream and me. The residual corresponding feelings, feelings created by the dream also come into my awareness. They are there still, but there’s space between them and me. It cannot touch me and that’s why I am not bothered by it.

Neither the thinking or the feeling bothers me once awareness kicks in. They start settling down because I have stopped giving energy to it. The power source is cut. Like a running fan switched off, even after turning the switch off, the fan continues for a while spinning. It cannot just abruptly stop. It slows down and then stops. As long as you don’t turn on the switch again. If you start paying attention to it and you lose the awareness, you get sucked in again. Good news is that it takes only a moment to get back the awareness. It takes practice to get good at this.
